Sounds like it is going to be Steve McClaren.
I think he's gash.
We'll have to see though.

i am in two minds now.
i used to think he was gash - but his tactics seem have got a lot more aggressive recently and he has started to show evidence he can think on his feet and rectify mistakes - although i guess its always hard to tell how much fo that is the manager and how much is the dressing room. His substitutions have by and lareg come on leaps and bounds.
i don'tthink he is the best choice by a long shot (still favour Hiddink) but of the options left, given the utter FA bungling i think he is the best choice given he alreay has experience at this level due to his involvement in the England camp and his experience at MAn U. Even in boro terms he has the most European experience.
I actually feel sorry for him in some ways, i mean its not like he can turn it down is he, even if maybe he himself might know he might be better taking it in four years time.
If this does turn out to be a rotten apointment i'd blame Barwick and not Stevie Mac. i think the biggest problem may just be that he is too similar in stule to Sven, we will qualify but in a boring way...
Plus i like the idea of Pearce and Curbs being involved in the coaching set up.
Although at the moment all i give a rats arse about is next weeks cup final.
