Or Isaac Hayes.
For years and years South Park has made fun of jews, christians, catholics, etc.
But when they made fun of scientology he quit (he is a scientologist).
Here's some guys interpretation of the whole thing.

I'm curious to see what's in store for the Chef character now. Recast him? Perhaps as a crazy scientologist who never speaks, acts like an extremely racist black stereotype who shacks up with Mr. Garrison to double team little boys because Scientology doesn't say not to? Just off the top of my head, btw.
Scientology, for taking away one of my favorite cartoon characters, you're now on the list of religions that have personally bothered me in some fashion.
I think that the only religion that's NOT on that list is Judaism.

I love the caption under the pic in the link...
I cannot take Scientology seriously. But, then again, I can't take any religion seriously... *shrug*
[edit] being botherd by an inability to remember the basics of scientology I went and googled. Then I laughed my ass of for about a minute and a half... well, I giggled really hard, anyway.
Thaaat's just great...
"I'm going to convert to Scientology-the religion of the Stars!"

"The launch of "South Park’s" 10th season is marked by the triumphant homecoming of school chef, Jerome McElroy. "The Return of Chef!," premieres Wednesday, March 22 at 10:00 p.m., only Comedy Central.
The town is jolted out of a case of the doldrums when Chef suddenly reappears. While Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman are thrilled to have their old friend back, they notice that something about chef seems different. When Chef’s strange behavior starts getting him in trouble, the boys pull out all the stops to save him."
Well, this can get interesting.

Comedy Central chose to air "Chocolate Salty Balls" instead of "Trapped in the Closet" this week after Isaac Hayes left the show. Whole lot of rumors on the reasoning, but nothing concrete. Here was Matt Stone and Trey Parker's comments on the issue:
"So, Scientology, you may have won THIS battle, but the million-year war for earth has just begun! Temporarily anozinizing our episode will NOT stop us from keeping Thetans forever trapped in your pitiful man-bodies. Curses and drat! You have obstructed us for now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail! Hail Xenu!!!"

The Return of Chef, according to the highly reputable guys at mrtwig.net
Simple, concise, and Star Warsesque.
Sweet episdoe, but it'll go into SUPER SWEET territory if they still feature Darth Chef as a character in the future.

It was made up (well, it was based on the IRL events )wideload wrote:Just watched the episode. Had its moments, but was a little odd in general. Very bitter tone to it
****POSSIBLE SPOILER*****
Anyone know if that part at the beginning about chef leaving was made up to make this episode make more sense or if it? Did that flashback actually happen in another episode?
Can't believe I'm still here.

Chef: How would you children like to suck on my chocolate salty balls?
Fruity Guy: Oh, you mean some chocolate candies?
Chef: No, I mean my balls.
Props to Matt and Trey for not using the "NOOOOOOOOoooooooo" when doing it would have been so very easy.

Umm, they started the whole Mono-theism... so are the precursors of Christians and Muslims...Professor Smooth wrote: I think that the only religion that's NOT on that list is Judaism.
SCientology sucks. About as much as Ron Hubbard's sci-fi stories. Ever read one?
Or, better yet, ever played Fallout 2? The Hubologists cult is a great parody of their cult. (which is basically a buisness enterprise that provides people with religious experience in return for money. Lots of money.)

I do not take issue with the Christians and the Muslims because they're monotheistic. I take issue with them because, as organized religions, they are in the practice of telling me what I can and cannot do.BB Shockwave wrote:

The Jews do not.

actually they are more in the practice of telling thier followers what they can and cannot do. If you dont want to follow, thats your choiceProfessor Smooth wrote:I do not take issue with the Christians and the Muslims because they're monotheistic. Who saw Part I of "Family Guy"?
It is 100% percent satirific. They are lampooning the s*** out of themselves and are totally getting to tell the Comedy Central execs to f*** off over all the s*** that's gone down lately.
Coolness.
