If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

A Brit comedian, passed away the other day.

She was really, really funny. And not just funny in a 'hey here's a joke' way, funny in that genuinely witty way that can leave you very impressed as well as laughing.
Also liked seeing her regularly run verbal rings around and then mercilessly wordslaughter pompous old men on Have I Got News For You.

She also seemed to have a very sensible view of things and had an ability to puncture crap and just get to the bones of an issue quickly and entertainingly that I was most envious of.

Did not know she was President of the British Humanist Association:

Wondered if anyone else was a fan? The main Transfans sense of humour seems rather similar in some regards to her style.

Yes, it's very sad. :(
I found out about this last night. She was fantastic! Her appearances on shows like Have I Got News and QI were superb and she will be sorely missed.
