Driving exam

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Driving exam

Post by Eline » Thu Feb 23, 2006 10:02 am

I have mine this afternoon! :) :(

Am a bit nervous now, also because one of my ears is blocked so my hearing is a bit bad.

It should go fine, if I concentrate really well and don't get nervous. Only worrying part is that only 40% pass the first time.

I think I should impart the wisdom my Grandad gave me before my test:

"If a dog runs out in front of you, just run it over. But if a person does, remember to brake"
My grandad was ace. I think he may have taught Chuck Norris to drive.

Best of luck, Elaine!

No he didn't. I taught myself to drive when i was a small fetus.

But good luck Eline, just give him a good roundhouse if he gives you any trouble.

Okay, that didn't go so well. :(

Was more nervous than I thought I'd be, so made too many mistakes. Totally forgot that before you turn left or right, you should brake a bit and switch back to 2nd gear. And I panicked when we drove into the city centre and parked really bad too. Did some things good as well, but not enough.

Oh well. It should go better next time.

Yeah, it was my first time.

Now I know that I do get nervous, and what I have to concentrate on for next time. Still, it would have been so nice if I'd passed, because we got a car a month ago, and I want to drive in it! :)

But to be honest, I wouldn't have let myself pass the way I was driving yesterday.
