If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Happy New Year!
Post

Wishing everyone the best for 2006.
I had a fun and quiet night with friends, dinner, conversations, good champagne and some fireworks.
Back to work today, still a bit sleepy.
Some good things will happen this year for me:
1. I will get my driver's licence
2. I will move into a new house, and start living together with my boyfriend
Hope everyone had a fun night as well!

I'm sorry, but I feel offended by your "Happy New Year" comment.
I mean I don't recognize the New Year.

Has anyone got any resolutions? I know they are a bit lame, but there is something quite significant about setting yourself goals for the new year.
Mine:
Lose my final stone in weight.
Pay off my 2 loans early.
Get my own place to live.
Stop buying as many transformers and computer games.
Be more sociable, as I feel I have become a hermit over the last couple of years.

But you'd disappear!
I don't know about resolutions. But I do hope that I maybe possibly might get around to looking for a better job, sometime.
Oh, and turn my spare room into a geekpalace while I can, or it'll end up becoming a nursery with lots of boxes of comics and toys stacked along one wall.
I think that's it. Apart from become an X-Wing fighter pilot, of course.
Happy new year, all the best and things. I had a nice hogmany, thankyou.

I'm a little late, but eh.
In the New Year, I shall be going back to school. Again.

This time though, I'm fairly confident in what I've decided to do, and fairly confident in my abilities to get there, so... yep.
Am enrolled for an upgrading class starting in Feb., will be applying to the college itself in the spring sometime. Whee.
