The results were surprising, to say the least. He got Alec Guinness, Patrick Stewart, Matt LeBlanc, Nicholas Cage, Placido Domingo and Rowan Atkinson.

Hmmm...I wonder if it would recognise a picture of, say, Rowan Atkinson correctly...

This returned Rowan Atkinson at 70% in the first guess, and even returned a pic of him wearing a police uniform - the Alastair McGowan one was from Four Weddings and he was wearing his vicar's unifrom, which is interesting. It also returned Ewan McGregor and Paul McCartney though.

argh, could only find a picture of me looking a little wasted, however it was good enough to be a 60% match to an actor called Kevin Anderson (whom i've never heard of)...

I'm gonna try Arrafat now.

EDIT: Weird, I tried a really close head-shot, wich gives nothing. I think that's what happened to the Tom Cruise shot too.

I tried a bit more zoomed out picture, and it does indeed give a 71% probability, that yes this is Arrafat. However, there's a 60% probability that this is James Brown or Jimmy Carter!

EDIT2: Tried again! 66% probability that it is Deforest Kelley!

I had to have a snag at that Tom Cruise meself too, so I smacked it up, and waddayaknow, the photo I found found some matches. For males it is a 48% match for Jim Carrey, and a 53% for Mel Gibson. Interestingly enough... the biggest similarity was with a female... JENNIFER ANNISTON, 65%.

To top it off, I made a manual cut, and that finnally gave a 75% probability for Tom Cruise.

Weird. I tried this pic:

And it gave Sandra Bullock as the closest match, but none of the other matches were Tom Cruise, they just all happened to be looking to the left on their picture.

I don't think this software is as clever as it makes out to be.
