I don't know why they don't just take it back to TV. It'll get high ratings and tons of viewers. I guess everyone involved must be feeling a little bit discouraged right now.

Ooh, heresay and speculation! Always fun.

Sure the film'll do well on DVD. Should cover the overall budget.

Not sure I'd want another film anyway, to be honest... Serenity brought a sense of closure to most of the storylines that propelled Firefly.

I saw one comment online that echoed that, and essentially said that Serenity was Joss going for Return of the Jedi right off the bat - because he didn't know if he'd get a chance to do more afterwards, so may as well go for the close-to-the-saga deal.

Of course I'd love to be proven wrong by somebody dropping a lovely new movie at my feet; but I'm actually okay with things the way they are.
