I feel a bit weird about this case. I don't owe him any pity, but I'm well against the death penalty and I wouldn't wish being shot on anyone. Can't they just cut his balls off or something?

Funny story, tonight I was out drinking with a close friend who worked at that PC World at the time and naturally we got talking about this. He said that the guy who turned Gary in (they used to check PCs for porn on a regular basis, so it wasn't surprising that he found it) refused to let anyone else look at the images, refused all offers of money from the papers, just called the police and then had to leave his job and find alternate employment. Fair play to the lad, he didn't cash in, he just left it to the authorities, and I'm not sure I would have done the same. After all, when there's a cool £10,000 on the table, who would sniff at shopping on a paedo?

Haven't thought about this before, but Glitter lived quite near to Bristol, for a time, at least.

I guess he didn't go to the local one (i.e. any of the ones in Bristol) to get his PC done, as I probably would've heard about it from a friend of mine who's worked there for years.

Hmm...

One of the Partners in my office told me about the time he sat on Gary Glitter's lap in an airport when he was 9 years old. He feels he was probably taken advantage of as GG apparently said he was cute.
