I love my gym

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

The pictures are horrible!

Is it a good gym by the way? They have one near my home but I thought that they were horribly expensive.

It's not bad, well, i guess it's not, it's the only gym i've ever been to in my entire life. I joined up when they had a "no joining fee" special offer, so i just pay my monthly subscription and i can go whenever i like. It's got just about everything, but doesn't have a pool unfortunately. It's starting getting really busy recently though, must be the people getting in from the cold winter weather or something ;)

heres somthing u dont know about fitness first.

when u leave u cant.
?
thats right u have to give them 2 months notice (equates too £100) or they fine you even more and they can take u to court and add interest.

so next time u think, "im not going to gym anymore" - think again, FF owns you... tossers

i cancelled by email and had my bank delete their direct debit.

It's unreasonable to expect 2 months notice!

i've not heard of that, infact when we joined (my flatmate and I) we were told that if we were thinking of leaving or were going away for any period of time, we could suspend our memberships (for something like a couple of quid a month), if after a month or so we decided we definitely wanted to leave or whatnot, we could...

not sure how two months notice is £100 quid either, unless their membership fees have dropped recently as i only pay like £40 a month for anytime access (off peak is something like £30).

when did you hear of this (or did it happen to you?) - maybe they've changed their ways in recent times?
