"Life Is Worth Losing"
I was really shocked when I saw him - he looked puffy, and his eyes weren't as focused as usual - and his speech was somewhat slurry at times.
But he's old, and he's just been in rehab... so it's just natures way.
Anyways, this was by far the darkest Carlin routine I have ever seen.
It was more 'hateful philosophy' (or whatever you call it) then 'comedy'.
But I liked it. I'll probably see it again some time soon.
But how does the american audience react to some of the stuff he says?
Like the whole part about the americans that got beheaded in Iraq (paraphrasing):
"Why are we shocked when we hear about the beheadings in Iraq? And why do we react and feel sorry about them? I dont feel sorry about these stupid *************. If you don't wanna get beheaded dont walk around with a gun in Iraq; stay in ******* Oklahoma!"
The things he say makes me smile - but as I said; how does the american (patriotic) audience react to it?
Did anyone else see the special; If so, what did you think about it?
George Carlins latest HBO Special.

It's weird. Americans rarely get upset over something a comedian says. They'll rant and rave against TV shows, music, and politicians, but stand-up comedy (unless it uses a lot of dirty words) is pretty much left alone.
I'm a big Carlin fan, but I no longer find him funny. The stuff he says that makes others laugh just has me nodding my head in agreement.
