He's not dead yet, but surely it can't be long.

The vultures (sorry - journalists!) are circling, and his son's trying to stir-up sympathy for the never-tried-to-change alcoholic who's currently in hospital having all-but-destroyed a liver that would have been best served going to somebody else.

So... when's he gonna croak, then?

Person who's closest wins, oh, I dunno... the first episode of Six Feet Under, which I'll download personally for them.

My bet's on some point between 6am and 12pm Friday (BST).

I ran out of sympathy for him awhile back. I feel really crap for saying that tho.

This guy get all the help he can, gets a new liver and then abuses that too.
I admire his talent but hes doing himself no favours. I dont want to wish death upon anyone but I cant feel sorry for him

meh. itsthe fact that this is deemed news that bugs me. Or the fact that its only news when it is a celebrity.

he's kind of a tragic figure but equally i don't have much sympathy given all the help he has had.

How about those people who sold him the booze? Aren't they ultimately responsible for killing him? It's not like he's hard to recognise, most people have heard of him and know about his liver. Or are they not culpable because i the eyes of the law it's perfectly legal to sell someone alcohol even if they are a hopeless alcoholic with a new liver?

Nobody's playing the game!

Well, okay, some people are playing the game, others are just commenting on the whole thing.

The reports I keep hearing this afternoon are telling me that the current problems are infections caused by his immune system getting ****** up because his body's rejecting the new liver. Which is really glossing over why it's being rejected...

Robster - maybe he sends under-age teenagers into the offy to buy booze for him?
