Maths in MS Word

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Not too difficult, mate.

Highlight desired text (i.e. the 2), then click on Format -> Font, select Superscript.

Same for subscript, except select Subscript, obviously.

Alternatively, if you want to include more than just indices, you might want to try the Microsoft Equation thing by clicking Insert -> Object, Create New tab, Object Type to Microsoft Equation (you might need to install the editor for this), OK. Enter equation using the toolbar.

The one that looks a little like a fish, right?

It's in the first group (Relational symbols), bottom of the left column (on my version, Office XP, anyway).
