So I kind of get involved with someone, supposedly very casual, then we both start caring about each other, which is a big mistake since I know she's going to hurt me sooner or later. Turns out its sooner, and in a massively thoughtless way. Man I feel crappy today. Thing is, my powers of being damn sexy were at a peak since my confidence and general happiness were up, just hope I'm not going to have to take ages to rebuild them again like last time I got dropped.

Thanks for the words of support guys. Right now I feel like I've got about as much game as a blind footballer with no legs, realistically I know I'll be ok before long, but its hard to feel like that while your heart's on the floor with a stiletto stamping on it. In the meantime, nothing helps like the company of good friends.
Oh, and a big thanks to Jetfire for his support yesterday, was a big help.

don't let it get you down, it's natural to feel down when something like this happens- mainly because subconsciously we tend to blame ourselves (least i do anyway!) its so easy to think "im so dumb for letting this happen" or "im such a loser for not being able to keep them" (obviously you're feeling the former).
I always tell myself it's only my insecurities speaking- its a lot easier to treat yourself like garbage and fall into the trap of blaming yourself than it is to just deal with some of the hardships we deal with as people. i.e. that we all let people close to us when we sense that it will cause us harm, and we get attached to those people in ways which we shouldn't.
In the end, as with all things, its only one person whom has caused you harm and that is only in your mind. If its in your mind, you can change it think how many times a day you can change your mind and feeling about things n_n
Keep positive and don't lose sight of your own strong qualities! Don't let it get you down, just remember it's all your mind and you have control over your mind. It doesn't have to hurt unless you let it

But she can take your love, she can take your land, she can take you where you cannot stand. But please don't care - you're still free. She can't take the sky from you.

Oddly enough, my cheer myself up for the day yesterday was watching the first dvd of that.Brendocon wrote: But she can take your love, she can take your land, she can take you where you cannot stand. But please don't care - you're still free. She can't take the sky from you.
Thanks again for the words of support, even those that aren't as stunningly constructed as karl's. Right now I'm remembering why I spent the last year 100% woman free, and while it was easier to do that in some ways, I'm not quite ready to give up again.
Mind you that doesn't take away the fact that we were good friends before anything happened, and now I feel like I'll be losing a lot of my social life as well as missing a dear friend.

There's no need to compare yourself to Micheal Ricketts.angloconvoy wrote: Right now I feel like I've got about as much game as a blind footballer with no legs,
Dude, you need to settle down for an evening with a Game pack. It should consist of:
Spaced Season 1 Episode 7
Old School
Swingers
In between each showing you should repeat the following words to yourself:
"She couldn't carry the gold"

It's even harder when you start forming large chunks of your life around them, because they all have to change and evolve too. Tho like I said to besty ages and ages back, it might be the end of something and feel like you're losing a lot... but it's also the beginning of something new, and there's no reason at all why that shouldn't be even better than it was before!
{where *do* I get this from }
seriously, I've been through some negative things and if any of my rambling experiences are of any help to anyone at all it's all worthwhile

Sorry Anglo-I know what you mean about it being easier to be single though. Me and the ex split up in March, and everytime since that I've got involved with someone, no matter how casual, it freaks me out completely.
Anyway, take care mate-beer and curry can be a mans best friend in times such as these.

Same here-the drunk part of me. Then I wake up and the sober part of me feels like an absolute ****. Of course, having ocd doesn't help the guilt at all, as it really does love to make you consider the various ways in which things could go horribly wrong. Mind you, in this case it's completely fair-I've not been too happy when I've been cheated on, so encouraging others to do so probably isn't too clever. Must. Learn. To. Leave. Attached. Women. Alone.Best First wrote:ah.
Is it wrong that part of me thinks:
"Huh, i could live with that"
Funny thing is though, I don't judge other people for doing so, because I accept that it's just human nature, but with myself, I find it unnacceptable. Bah. Stupid conscience.
