Yay for me!

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Today I was informed I was succesful in my application for Team Leader at my current place of work :D

I am very happy, the extra money will mean I can finally pay off the rest of my loans and get a place of my own to live

Nice one. Congratulations. I've finally got to a point where I've paid off a huge chunk of my loans and am moving out in Nov :) It's a nice feeling isn't it?

On anotehr note, does anybody take "team leader" serious after watching "The Office" ;)

Cock!

Logic dictates there is no place for such emotionalism in a Decepticon commander. Nor is there room for incompetence.

Its a company called Helphire, who are like a motor accident management company. We deal with repairs and hire cars for victims of non-fault motor accidents. I work in the finance dept which is stunning considering my utter tardiness with mathematics.

I'm a Team Leader too, but it's in food service so therefore much less interesting and/or lucrative. But congrats, Hound.

A good leader doesn't need to have the greatest skills in the team, just needs to be able to identify who has what skills and put them to best use for the benefit of the team.

Congrats, Ben.

OOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKAY.
“Team leader don’t mean anything mate.”
“Excuse me, it means I’m the leader of a team.”
“No it doesn't-it’s a title someone’s given you to get you to do something they don’t want to do, for free. Right? It’s like making a div kid at school milk monitor. No one respects it.”
“I think they do.”
“No they don’t Gareth.”
“Er, yes they do, because if people were rude to me then I used to give them their milk last, so it was warm.”
Best First's or betetr yet Hound's new pic on the transfans photo page should be ;):

Well done that man! :)

In order to be team leader at my place you have to be an arse-licking corporate robot with no regard for common sense when contridicts the management line.

I'm sure this is not the case with any of the team leaders here though ;)

Great! That means it's your round first when I'm down next.
