Vote for Blaster!
Post
by Metal Vendetta » Sun Aug 28, 2005 8:04 pm
Faced with the unenviable task of trying to tell someone who doesn't know Transformers how to draw Blaster, I quickly realised I was in over my head here, so I'm asking you lot instead. Which of these Blasters looks most like Blaster?
[edit] It looks like you can't have K options in a poll so if you want to vote for K, simply post "I WANT TO VOTE FOR THE ONE DRAWN BY PAT LEE" in this thread.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I'm going to have to say... version E.
Where's that one from?
In reality the only important thing to observe when drawing Blaster,
is that he's got his visor down over his eyes. Cause when he folds that lil' thing down...
..he becomes
bad-ass!

Ah, righto.
Never read it, so thought it might've been from some UK kiddie book (e.g. Ladybird), that I'd also never read.

Interesting thing to say, considering the effect Blaster regularly states his weapon has.

Yeah, innit square?
Hey Rebis! I think it's just the 2 of us awake at this god-awful hour.
And I'm going up tomorrow, for my first math-class this semester.
I hope to get much done.
It's Algebra, probabilities and functions.

I like the Don Perlin, Stephen Baskerville, Robin Smith and Will Simpson pics on there, and I've gone for F as I've always liked that pic.
Strangely though, when I think of Blaster I probably think of him without the visor, like in the cartoon.

A is the one that immediatly appeals to me. Feels familiar, unlike some of the others.........I wouldn't even have recognised H as Blaster in other circumstances.

Definitely A - probably the most bad-ass he's ever been, it certainly sticks the most in my memory, although F is quite good too.
Where is I from? i don't recognise that one...

Yes I quite a gree A, makes him look hard edged, and very cool - F is pretty close.
Note how the 'blast' visor looks like it might actually pull down over his optics.
Any with white foreheads is funny, due to a silly animation error in TF:M pat lee thought thats how he should be drawn.
Pat you cock muppet.

I just assumed (dangerously, obviously) that I was the box art.
That's why I questioned the, IMHO, extremely poor rendering that is H.
Btw, is C the original figure, or the Action Master, or KO, or a fan kit?
