We are taking the piss out of Australia

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

It's imo because cricket isn't a constant action game- there's not always people running around and doing stuff, you can get long periods where nobody really seems to move except the bowler and very little seems to be happening.

I think crickets alright, and considering I hate watching sports thats saying something :D

yeah i mean im watching it but its so dull.

essentially you see, nothingis going on for 90% of the time, then i guy throws a ball, and, i states this, if he is more lucky then another guy he might bowl the batter out.

thing is, u cant feel the build up, its not like say football where u see the play building up, one team gaining an advatage etc... essentially in cricket a man chucks a ball, and 90% of the time [composite word including 'f*ck'] all happens, then u wait and ... its so featureless.

also it contains loads of rules that the average guy doesnt understand, and is boring to watch as nothing happens.

there are many sports where the action is constant and obvious in its rules, even golf is more active!

still i have it on because i cant help myself, but it is toss

{waits for Mark to switch channels, at which point the batsman spontaneously combusts, the bowler turns into Cliff Richard and a herd of break-dancing grizzly bears appear on the pitch, in a classic 'Over-easy Leg Wibbler' move by the batting team}

:D
