Dragon's Claws

I wanna talk about Dragon's Claws!

Surely another example (along with Death's Head) that Furman was an underated writer/creator away from Transformers....

With the Claws we got a sustained run of 10 issues full of action and intrigue (was the seeds of the blockbusting style of G2 sown here?)

Senior's art was of course, incredible.

What do you think though? Cliched folly? Or deserved to do much better than it did?

I mean, did it get cancelled or what?

I realise this is in the G1 forum but Death's Head was in Dragon's Claws and G1 TFs so, er, there.

Nice example of what always felt to me like a very British comic- in the style of the writing and the general wit which tends to underwrite a lot of Furman's stuff. tbh it wasn't any great shakes in the grand scheme of things imo but Master Furman always had a way of writing entertaining comics which didn't feel like they had come lacklustre as the product of someone saying to him "oi, we need a new comic!"

Any good Claw sites? I never read an issue except DH crossovers...

(or care to email me with zipped issues...) :lurk:
