Post by Best First » Tue Aug 23, 2005 11:35 am

The lovely smelling TF@Moon are reporting that Cybertron will start airing in the UK on Toonami next month.

What this means for the release of the toys is anyone's guess.

Full details here.

It is your fault that the forum didn't exist when I posted that in January though, isn't it? Eh? Eh? Yeah, quite. Don't swear at me. :(

The new story line will also be leading onto a Transformers feature film, with a planned release for spring 2006.
I doubt that the new movie will be based on Cybertron. I'm assuming that that was just badly phrased.

I saw the trailer for the new show on Toonami this afternoon. Not exactly news, I know, but I thought I'd mention it anyway in case anyone wants to look out for it between shows before the actual programme airs.

Maybe there will be a new animated movie too??

Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.

The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

There's going to be a movie-based CGI show, but I'd image that would be based on the film. You don't often get a cartoon based on a cartoon.

Unless you mean that there may be a GF/Cybertron CGI cartoon movie then - yum - me likee. :)

Toonami can be picked up by 40% of the UK population, with it receiving a 0.8% share of the total daily multi-channel viewing figures, and a 0.2% share of the total monthly viewing figures. The average amount of time any one person watches Toonami for in a month, according to the BARB, is for 3 minutes.
Yay! 45 second episodes!

Hmm... given that the opening titles are likely to showcase half the characters, and that the ending credits have to allow for all the cast and crew, I'd say there's going to be -3 minutes of action, and that's not including time for overlaps!

yay?
