It's okay. I hate the Prime on there, it looks too much like that Shockwave wrap-around cover (or whatever those are called).
The background sketch art is nice, and very welcome (love stuff like that) but I'd think it better for the cover of some guide rather than a Zero Issue.

Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.
Again, I think this is a case of looking at what it is supposed to be. As a convention exclusive, I think it's a pretty smooth move. To get an exclusive cover done by yer actual Archer + his actual design monkeys is a clever idea.
And it certainly looks like what you'd expect from such a brief, ie covered in design drawings.
Like the other covers, it shows to me a company targeting market opportunites in a sensible way, as these things (pumping out variant covers) go.
Is the Prime the best I've ever seen? No. Sure as **** ain't the worst, tho. *Hi, Pat!*

right the design sketchs are pretty
but the optimus is rank - its more manga then pat-less with super deformed hips torso arms and legs.
I hope to god were not going to get a manga/transformer design set here. im switched off instantly.
A, because it makes transformers look like rubber
and
B, because its what everyone who cant draw does.
