Hey all, I know I've asked this before, but I believe my little list went the way of my Thalia Hershey's Cajeta Elegancita wrapper and is likely on it's way to a landfill right now. Grr.

So, provided anyone's up for it once more, by the end of Generation 2 in Marvel, who was dead and basically stayed dead?

Mirage? Is he seen again?
Darkwing gets shot but is later seen recovering

Skullgrin (plus others)

Stranglehold and...dunno who that is next to him. He looks pretal fatalised though.
Ironhide?
Smokescreen
Inferno (building fell on top of him)
Slapdash? Joyride? One of the two, anyway. Joyride, I think.
The Combaticons? Did Starscream really take them all out?

Jhiaxus, of course

Frenzy (I don't buy this one)

Optimus Prime (again, although he came back, again)

Octopunch was killed during Megatron's attack on Jhiaxus troops, too. And Crankcase, bought it too on this occasion, I think he was the one next to Stranglehold. Battletrap didn't look too good when Starscream carried him back into ship. Both Slapdash and Joyride looked like they were finished during the series. And there's this Cybertronian named Mindset.

The whole death thing is far too wooly in Transformers. Many characters in g1 suffered similar fates but were not classed as dead, just deactivated. I expect many of those who died in g2 could also be classed as deactivated, bar those consumed by the swarm...

I prefer the whole 'down, but no out' thing. Lends more weight to when a character actually snuffs it.

i tend to think no. the only reason they could build prime was because he was still alive, having been "awash with matrix energy" or somesuch... that was why he had survived being consumed. for the likes of the others that had already been gobbled up, they were already dead and gone, unfortunately.

Although never seen or stated (only remnants of Octane are clearly visible aboard the Warworld) it is implied by their sudden dissapearance?
