Newsarama has broken the news that Dreamwave's assets have been sold to Canadian entrepreneur Christian Dery. This will not effect the Transformers comics in any way as Hasbro yanked the license before DW could drag it into bankruptcy and also bodily aquired all copies of The Transformers comics, trades, other merchandise featuring our favorite Robots in Disguise.
Could Simon Furman get to finish Necrowar? Will the Dreamwave freelancers finally get paid for those books we all bought? Will Pat Lee do the art for Dreamwave again? All the answers should be forthcoming! Check out Newsarama's story though, you don't have anything else to do...

Does anyone really give a rats ass about these titles?Warlands, Neon Cyber, Shidima, Echo, Fate of the Blade, Garden of Blades, Limbo City, Arkanium, Necrowar, Dark Minds, Capsoul, and Sandscape
You don't see anyone in that Pat Lee interview bitching that they aren't getting their Sandscape fix do you?

But the prospect of someone paying the unpaid artists is positive, at least.

yeah liqudators hand out all the cash, then the rights to the company will be given a $ value for which someone can buy it.
So the guy who buys it gets ole rights to all of DW in house works, to do so with as he pleases, the money generated by the sale is then once more dvided up to the creditors remaining...
wonder how much it sold for.
On the subject, what happened to the Teen Mutant Turtles ?

Cancelled (due to low sales) after only 7 issues. They managed to have low sales on a NINJA TURTLES comic with PETER F'N DAVID writing it! HOW?!?!Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:yeah liqudators hand out all the cash, then the rights to the company will be given a $ value for which someone can buy it.

i suspect the fact that they hired a writer someone had heard of rather than just ask the cleaner to jot down a few pages confused the hell out of your average DW fan.Professor Smooth wrote:Cancelled (due to low sales) after only 7 issues. Gutted that i never got to read Warlands: Malagans Campaign - that looked grrrrrrrreat.
DW were, in the large part, an embaressment to the comic making industry as far as i am concerned.
and, oh look, Pat still is.
