Or "what perpetually-repeated spelling mistakes annoy the piss out of you?"
That's mine for the day.
What's yours?

Is it acceptable to spell "Lose" with an extra 'O?'
I often see people say things like: "The Mets always loose."
At first I thought it was a natural (though unreasonably aggravating) typo, but the more I saw people do it the more I started to believe that it was intentional, maybe even correct. (Four fingers! wrong! zap!)
Failing this, nothing irritates me as much as "Pwned." But then again, this too is intentional.

Not at all. That's another one that bugs the **** out of me.jboyler wrote:Is it acceptable to spell "Lose" with an extra 'O?'
lose = not win
loose = floppy
[edit]While we're on the subject, people in London who write, or say the phone number as: 0207 XXX XXXX annoy the living bejeezus out of me. I'll say this once, and once only.
020 is the code. The 8-digit number beginning with 7 is the phone number. If you try and dial the number without the 7 on the start of it, it won't work. The number should be 020 7XXX XXXX. Or 020 7X XX XX XX. Or even 020 7XX XX XXX would be fine. 0207 is just ******* retarded.
This applies to most secretaries, admin staff and indeed, people, I have met throughout my working life.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

It's hard being somewhat of an amateur grammar stickler on this wide world of the web. You need to be prepared for lots of proverbial tongue-holding.Brendocon wrote:Or "what perpetually-repeated spelling mistakes annoy the piss out of you?"

Common spelling mistake that annoys? Probably the mispelling of my sn... it's right there. How do people mispell it?
Ehh, it's not intolerable though... it's a "eh, whatever" type of thing that only really bothers me when something else is bugging me. My own habit of accidently mixing up the order of the 'h' and the 't' at the end of the word 'thought' or adding a 't' at the end of the word 'though' when posting is something that annoys me constantly though as it's not usually something I catch until after I've already posted, for some reason.
