Is This What Optimus Prime Will Look Like in TFTM? [UPDATED]

Good evening Smoothamaniacs! Damn, that just sounded lame. Redstreak's still gone so my ability to alter a wrestling term to suit my needs is still less-than-great. Ah well, such is life. On to this week's update.

I was out training this afternoon when a friend of mine picture messages me a picture from the San Diego Comic Con. Since the guy basically just took a camera phone and snapped a shot of his monitor, it was pretty much unviewable. But when I got back, I checked out galactichunter.com and found a decent quality image of what he'd tried to send me:



The question that's been floating around since this picture was taken is simply this:

WILL OPTIMUS PRIME('s truck mode) LOOK LIKE THIS IN THE FILM?

To all these people asking this question, I say: Why not wait until the sheet comes off before asking questions like this, you impatient lil' gits? What's wrong with you? It's a truck covered in a sheet, for cryin' out loud!

When and if the sheet comes off, I'll have more information for ya. Till then...SPECULATION WILL BE RUNNIN' WILD, BROTHER!

Bah. Wonder if Killer Mel would be a suitable replacement for Redstreak...

UPDATE: Don Murphy has answered the question for us. No, the cover will not be coming off during the show. Of course, he could be trying to throw us off. But, being from Hollywood, I can't imagine he'd be less than honest about anything. (Just kidding, Mr. Murphy, don't stab me or anything, please.)

Yeah, I've seen the pic before, and so far, there isn't much to look at.

Do I hope that TFTM Oppy will be a semi with a red cab with those signature headlights? Yes.

Do I hope that TFTM Oppy has gaudy Autobot symbols all over his tires? Definitely not.

I reckon that it IS just a random red, flat-nosed truck that was hired for the show. Surely Prime's vehicle mode will be slightly tweaked so that he looks like a standard truck, but there's 'something' about him...
And you just KNOW that if the sheet does come off (50/50 in my opinion as to wheter it should or not) there'll be Optimus fan art all over the 'net based on that model of truck (probably claiming to be official movie production artwork).

Still, the covered truck is nicely teasing, don't you think..?

Personally, I hope that Oppy P is covered in a tarp for the entire movie.
