Hold on guys, lemme just check AIM real quick.
Nope, Redstreak's not around at the moment (http://transfans.tfarchive3.com/phpBB2/ ... php?t=3735).
No modified wrestling catchphrase this time, maybe in the second update of the week...
Anyway, this week's rumor is:
Why hasn't anyone found Alternators Decepticharge yet?
![Image](http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y115/ProfessorSmooth/CybertronsMostWanted.jpg)
The elusive Alternators Decepticharge has an interesting story. Aside from being a remold of the Alternator Windch...er...Overdrive, it has yet to have a single confirmed sighting on any store shelves in the United States or Canada. The paint scheme for the remold is going to be different from Takara's Binaltech version of the figure (Wild Rider/Black Widow). To make the story even more interesting, rumors of a green version of made their way to various TF news sites and message boards. Swerve, a remold of Autobot Tracks, the figure scheduled to be released after Decepticharge has already been found on store shelves. So, what's the deal with Decepticharge?
To get the answer, I talked to a whole bunch of people who asked to remain nameless (because they'd get in trouble if they were right or because they're talking out of their collective asses, you decide). Here's the breakdown on the deal with Decepticharge.
On why it hasn't been seen yet:
Nameless source (paraphrased because this person's grammar is...well...unique) 1: Hasbro made the same mistake with Decepticharge they did with Alternators Autobot Tracks. The color was so light that the plastic was nearly transparent.
Hmmm. Hasbro's not learning from its previous mistakes? No. I can't accept that. I won't accept it. I...have to say that actually sounds pretty reasonable. Let's check in with another nameless source, shall we?
Nameless source (paraphrased because I don't actually write stuff down and quote pretty much from memory) 2: In case you hadn't noticed, Decepticharge's paint scheme sucks. Hasbro's junking it in favor of Takara's colors.
We've already seen Decepticharge "in-package" pictures, though. Then again, we saw "in-package" pictures of Autobot Tracks too...
On the green version everyone I talked to said pretty much the same thing.
Everyone: It's fake. If you believe it's real then I've got a Blue Bluestreak I'd like to sell you.
Oh really? How much would you want for such a...wait a minute. You're jerking my chain aren't you? You think I'd fall for something like that.
The entire collective internet as a whole: CENSORED
I'll leave it to your imagination as to what they said.
Transfans disclaimer: Smooth can be an idiot at times. Most times. He was right this one time and has been milking it ever since. We're not responsible for what he says, does, thinks in the privacy of his apartment at four in the morning, or anything else. If you want to blame someone, blame him. It's fun. We blame him for stuff he hasn't even done yet. Go ahead and give it a try.
UPDATE 8/15: Hobby Link Japan (where you should probably be ordering your Takara figures if you're not already) has announced that the Takara version of this figure has been cancelled. Taking its place as BT-16 will be Skids. Say what you will about Decepticharge/Wildrider/Black Widow, but to be bumped from the roster for SKIDS is just an insult. Fortunately, plastic (and metal...) figures do not feel shame. But if they could, oh man...
New Transfans Disclaimer: Why was there no update on Wedesday? Why was the last update removed? Where the heck have you been? We thought you were gone and spent mucho dinero on party favors and getting Snarlos drunk. Now you're back?! You'd better not get our hopes up again, Smooth! This is worse than those times you said that you'd heard that Fortress Maximus and Jetfire were being reissued! Next time you fall off the face of the interweb you had damn well better have the common decency to STAY GONE!!!
How is that a disclaimer?
