If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Just a little Kodak EasyShare CX7500. It's got 3.2 megapixels, whatever that means. I've been surprised at the robustness of the features offered, especially considering I got it for only $100. The zoom leaves a bit to be desired, but other than that, it's great.

3.2 is quite respectable - I have a 4.0 camera - although there are ones with more than 8.0 mp out there. Basically, the higher the number the better - it's the numer of millions of pixels you have for taking a photo.
And as long as you have a decent close-up focus function, then you can take great TF pics. I can get right into that Prime's eye and still have it in perfect focus if I wanted - but only if I have the camera mounted - or the hand-shaking would make the picture too blurry.
Do you have video capture too?

Yeah, there's video capture w/ no sound. I haven't tried it yet, thou.

You can do full-body rotations of TFs and make tech specs more interesting.
I've got sound and dictaphone as well, but the instuction book was massive so I gave up on reading all that it could do. Perhaps it makes tea too.
Still, it's not the power of the camera but how good you are with what you've got. Judging by your pics above, you're going to have lots of fun.

Well, that explains the noises in my closet.
As long as no photos appear courtesy of Shanti418's new camera, I'll be happy.

How come no one from TransFans hides in
my closet?

Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

Did you check it recently?
Oh, and perhaps you can't find them because... THEY'RE HIDING!!!
And surely you wouldn't WANT them too.

I can get right into that Prime's eye and still have it in perfect focus if I wanted - but only if I have the camera mounted - or the hand-shaking would make the picture too blurry.
I use a 5.0 megapixel Olympus and I always have problems with shakey hands blurring the picture. When I take pictures of my TFs I always use a tripod.
It also helps if you reduce the shutter speed. The easy way to do this is to use the "action" or "sports" setting, but there's probably a way to manually set it. A fast shutter speed might create a darker picture because less light gets in, but I've always had good results.
Lastly you should probably get a fish-eye lens for the camera. Sometimes cameras have a hard time focusing on tiny things, and most wide-angle lenses also work well for photographing tiny subjects. So far I've only used mine once or twice. Also, most consumer cameras won't have the ability to mount extra lenses and the like.

A bit redundant now with the decent macro modes on many cameras.

Macro is usually okay for most close-up work, but the Supermacro on my camers turns the flash off, making me have to stick a light pointing at what I want to photograph. It's rare I use the Supermacro though - unless I want to email a pal a really close-up pic of some detail on a TF or something.
No chance of fitting a fisheye lens on my camera either, although I've had surprisingly good results just placing a normal magnifying glass in front of the lens.
