Or maybe it's called insigna?
Anyways... I need a nice, clean picture of The Batmans logo/insignia/whatever - and not the one with yellow background from the Burton-movies.
I'm talking about this one.
My first priority is the one used in 'The Dark Knight Returns'. It's never seen in a clean shot, but I think its 'ears/head' are smaller?
If that's impossible - the one that's pictured in the... picture above will do just fine.
Can someone help me?
And; who designed the logo for Batman Begins?
Is it an existing design - or did Nolan make it up?

You could always use a line program to trace the logo and make a clean one for your use. I did that with some TF faction logos and CorelDraw - it has great curve tools. And you only have to make one half, duplicate it, mirror it and stick the two halves together. It's a great way of making clean line drawings.

Well, it's really a node edit tool. I just use it to add nodes to a line and pull on little node handles to create custom curves in the line. It's like laying a piece of string along a line or curve to trace it. I just trace the thing I want on a separate layer to the picture I'm tracing.Jetfire wrote:whatss a lien program?
I'm making it sound more sophisticated than it really is.

Oh, I own the Dark Knight Returns myself - the problem is; there's no clean shot of it.Jetfire wrote:I can scan in Dark knight stuff. But it's late and I'm out tomorrow. Wait for friday, if nothing turns up I'll scan in at thr wweek end.
Batmans always busy beating the crap out of some mutant, or hiding in the shadows
Can't believe I'm still here.
The DK logo is a bit of a bugger as IIRC it's appearance is not entirely uniform in the strip. And when you do get a decent shot of it it mostly resembles a rectangular black wodge with pointy bits; that was the version that made it onto the action figure

The closest decent thing to it that I can think of is probably the logo for the original series, blacked out.

Manipulating that to make it broader and flatter would make it go Dark Knighty.
The bat-signal logo is fairly prominent in DKR, dunno if that will do. For example:

If you can find a copy of Batman/Planetary, I think there's a clear shot of the DKR logo in that, by the superb Mr. Cassaday.
This is the best example of what I'm talking about if you haven't read that book

There's a page missing from the sale, the first page with DKR Bats...I guess that one wasn't for sale. I haven't got my copy handy so I can't say for certain if it'll have a clear logo on it, but it might be worth a shot if you can get a look at it,
...does the suit in Batman:Dead End use the DKR logo?
Might be worth trying to get a freze-frame or a pic from that

Or you could just draw one.
Good luck.
