If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I hope its good. It's about time WB resurrected it after its shockingly bad treatment. Going to be good to see a comic book movie that doesn't rely on a cigar chomping wise-guy, the all american jock, the empathic one etc. etc. (Fantastic 4, X-Men, Hell Boy and so forth).

I love that film! I HAD to buy it on DVD.
I also liked 'Batman and Robin' - that Arnold, eh? He's a first class actor.
Where are my tablets?
"Holy sardines Batman!"
"Quick, give me the shark repellent batspray! And STOP snorting the President, Robin."
"Shucks."

I don't have time for a full review so I'll just say the following things:
Best Batman movie ever.
Possibly the best superhero movie ever.
Kinda wished they'd pronounced Ra's and Falcone's names correctly though.
See it.

How the hell do you mispronounce 'Ra'?

Ra's al-Ghul is pronounced (in my head-to-alphabet, anyway) as Raish Al Goo Ull. Isn't it?
Falcone, I expect, would be pronounced as Fal Coe Knee, rather than Fal Cone? Haven't actually encountered that character's name audibly.

I'd think the same on both accounts.
Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

It does tend to help when you were at college with a couple of people called Ra's and Ras, though.
Humourous too, on the odd occasion.

i echo smooth's comments. best batman movie ever, tied for best comic movie with spiderman 2. mask of the phantasm was a great movie, but i liked this one more.
i had a longer, involved statement here, but it all comes down to this:
Freedom is the right of all sentient beings, as is justice, peace, and rebelion. and these rights must be protected at all costs.

On a slight sideways note, I read a review of a tribute film to the camp Batman show. It's like a parody and has Amy Acker in it, I think.
Anybody else heard of this? The DVD review was in 'Model and Collectors Mart' magazine - they have a TF article in most issues too.

Saw it, loved it, and for any londoners interested, the batman suit worn by christian bale in the movie is on display in hamleys for the next 5 weeks. Saw it yesterday, and it looks as good up close. Mind you, christian bale must be smaller than I thought.

This movie made me feel funny in my pants.
Could this movie have been better cast? Everyone was spot on.
Well save Katie Holmes. Tho I guess we gotta have the eye candy...
Anyways, Scarecrow/Jonathan Crane was perfect, Ra's was an intelligent cold hearted badass, and Christian Bale literally became Batman.

I loved the Scarecrow! I wanna see it again.
I loved how Scarecrow was introduced (or more like, the way he wasnt introduced).
I really thought the Scarecrow would be the main villain of the movie, and that the movie would center around him.
So I was really surprised
Can't believe I'm still here.
