England threw it away. What a shame.
With a good run they could have raised the profile of the Women's sport as serious sporting competation.

Still some of those Swedish footballers were fit.

Y'see, it ALWAYS comes down to sex with women's sports. That's why they aren't taken seriously. But then, who needs serious when it's women in shorts?

sometimes. In atletics Kelly's Holmes apparence has almost never been pointed out. If women are taken as true athlets then it's generally not mentioned. Maria Sharerof is georgous but her on Court success has been talked about more than her apparent sexyness.

But you miss the joke.
I was saying how women athletes should be seriously and it is disapointing that the England ladies were didn't get into a posistion when their success could mean they get to be taken seriously and then said how Sexy the team that knocked them out are.

Too subtile prehaps?

Yep.
Of course, to be taken seriously they have to be successful. But to be successful they usually have to be taken seriously. Unless they play REALLY good. I don't watch much sport (if any) - I usually stay on the channel if the women are attractive (and sweaty and all pumped up with the exercise. But not pumped up with muscles

).
We need more ugly sportswomen so their sexyness isn't an issue. Well, except when we go 'God, that (whoever) is a right bag of spanners'.
