Guy with chainsaw is allowed to enter the US.

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

He looks like a well-adjusted young man.

Let's hear it for tightening up the borders!

*Sigh*

Man with carrying a homemade sword, a hatchet, a knife, brass knuckles and a chain saw stained with what appeared to be blood, history of violence and clearly looks mental is allowed in?

Nice effective counter terroism there.

To be quite honest, if the US started stopping people who looked weird from entering the country, I'd be even more upset. Meh, screw it, I'm leaving the country forever in a little over a year. They can do what they want.

I stencilled 'chainsaw' on the side of my toaster last year. Still don't know why. Do you reckon I could get into the US with it?

I remember going to the States when I was but an early-teen, and having to fill in one of those immigration questionnaires on the plane. So there I am, 13 years old, being asked if I'd been involved in Nazi war crimes. Oh, the temptation...

I think the dude carrying a small arsonal of hand-held killing devices qualifies as more than weird.

Last time I visited the states I was search 4 times on the way out there. Once in the UK and thrice in US airports. Mainly because I'm token law abiding white guy who patently obviously will acquiesce with whatever demands they make, i.e. they pull over four arabian looking individuals, two people with generally darker skin than the guards and then me just to make it look fair and balanced.

It did get to the point where I just walked up to them, smiled, dumped my bag in front of them and said "would you like to search me?" I thought it would save time. They did as well, though seemed vaguely pleased with my co-operation.

This despite the fact its (as recently shown by studies) just as easy to smuggle weaponry onto an aircraft as it was before. It's entirely for show. Now they plan to have an anti-missile system on all large US passenger aircraft- despite the fact its ineffective against 75% of ground-to-air missiles and, furthermore, there is a much much more likely and greater threat from a bomb being put in luggage.

Chainsaw carrying a guy gets into US, now THAT'S a story.

Anthony said Despres was questioned for two hours before he was released. During that time, he said, customs agents employed "every conceivable method" to check for warrants or see if Despres had broken any laws in trying to re-enter the country.
On the same day Despres crossed the border, he was due in a Canadian court to be sentenced on charges he assaulted and threatened to kill Fulton's son-in-law, Frederick Mowat, last August.
... yeah. Every conceivable method to check for warrants. Right.
Grrr. Argh.

I always look guilty whenever I'm at these places. Or if a cop passes by me in the street. I just can't help it. I'm BOUND to get searched. And I don't mean 'bound' as in 'tied up'.

That's the plot to Staplerfahrer Klaus 2 - Der Zweites Arbeitstag, isn't it?
