Very strong line up, but could still be better. Live Aid '85 was more a case of "who wasn't doing it."

Not sure what they hope to achieve. Vast sums of money are just siphoned off- they'd do better to reform the way money is channeled rather than trying to just throw more on top imo. In my experience on the ground in much of Africa they need physical help probably moreso than money.

I honestly have no idea. Shows how well their campaign's being advertised.

Even the debt, grossly unfair as it is, is still secondary imo to actually getting more of the existing aid to people who need it. Which sadly involves overthrowing at least 4 governments in Africa

Yeah sending Aid to Africa, or clering debt just helps these sods like mugabee really...

kick the crap out of them and thier army, then send aid and restructuring in return for some oil - in the meentime hold a pop concert for chavs and it girls alike!

These people don't care - its ****ing lipservice. Its good PR. Bobn Geldof wandering round Africa saying 'oh this is awful' in a pair of sunglasses that could probably feed the village he is yabbering about for a week.

Like wiping out the debt - as stated get rid of the corrupt ****ers and the reasons the debt continues to grow.

Once you have done that, if you can wipe out the debt great.

But at the moment its a largely meaningless gesture IMO. The debt will just grow again, nothing will really change.
