First series funny, everything else after not. I might check out the movie though. Does it reset the continuity of the series?

No.

Basic premise of the movie:

The characters find out that they are fictional characters and that the series they are in is about to end.

To save themselves, they break out into the real world to hunt down the creators and stop the series being cancelled, thus maintaining their existence.

Probably gonna see it at the weekend.
