Swedish Tranfans meet-up!

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Swedish Tranfans meet-up!

Post by Eline » Thu Apr 28, 2005 1:33 pm

I might be going to Sweden half-June for work, so if anyone's interested? Or do all the Swedish people live on opposite sides of the country? I will be going to Helsingborg, and pass by Malmö. So I'm up for drinks or something.

And I will probably pass by your house again, Obfleur. :)

Awesome :D

Uhm, I think it's only me and Predabot that lives in Sweden - and thankfully we live on opposite sides of the country. :D

I think the weather will be great when you visit us again. And I hope the trees will be green and stuff.

I dont think I would be able to talk to you in real life though - I hate the sound of swedes talking english ;)
Can't believe I'm still here.

Okay, I'll just wave in your general direction from the train station then! :)

Last time (and first time) I was in Sweden there was still snow, so I'd like to see the summer.

Do you know what exact date you'll be here? :)

Oh.. I think Sweden is wonderful in summer time (allthough I've seen a couple of pictures that you and Dylan has posted, from Holland. Amazing and beautiful scenery).

It's not confirmed yet, but I intend to be there Friday the 17th June for work, so I will travel the evening before. And maybe stay for the weekend and see some sights in Helsingborg and/or Malmö (if Malmö is nice, otherwise maybe Copenhagen since I'm flying there), and then travel back on Sunday or something.

And yes, the Netherlands is a lovely place, especially in the springtime with the flowers everywhere. You should come here sometime! And, thanks to EmVee's visit, I now know where all the good coffeshops are. :)

I really recommend Copenhagen.
It's a lovely city with very very friendly people, and lots of stuff to see.

Yes. I'm in love with Copenhagen :( :D

Yes, I will go the 16th in the afternoon and probably fly back the 19th in the afternoon. Then work the 17th, and have weekend after.

But if I only have 1.5 day or so for myself, I thought maybe just visiting Helsingborg and/or Helsingor in Denmark. Is that a nice Danish city?

Hope the weather will be good! :) Does the sun shine all night?

Helsingör is good :)

Well, I think the sun sets at about 9 - 10 in the evening - and rises at 3 - 4 in the morning, during summertime.
Quite annoying if you've been out partying all night, and the birds starts to sing when you go to bed :o
