Firefox issues

When I do a search in google it has the auto-complete drop down list appear of all my previous searchs.
Is there a way to empty/delete this list?

You can switch it off. Internet Explorer has much the same functionality—that bloody Auto Complete feature for forms...

Though interestingly, my Linux version of Firefox has those options under Edit > Preferences rather than Tools > Options and I'm pretty sure I'm running the latest version.
