Crossing Jordan

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

So, anyone's watching this series? So long, we're still having only season 3 in HUngary. How is season 4, better or worse?

I wouldn't want to 'cross Jordon' - she may have fake boobs, but I wouldn't want to ruin any chance I had with her should the opportunity arise (so to speak).

And no - I haven't seen the show. What's it about?

Well I could explain, but this is easier:

http://www.tvtome.com/CrossingJordan/

It's a really good show, with (suprisingly for a show which deals with lots of corpses) much humor... :D

"Crossing Jordan"
"Joan of Arcadia"
"Tru Calling"

No one can come up with decent names anymore. I want to shoot the nitwits who thought of those...

I haven't seen the show, but I know Jill Hennessy's work from when she was on Law and Order, and she's quite good. Good looking, too.

Yep, quite right on that! :D But BF's right that by Season 3, the cases were getting a bit too simple, in the first season they sometimes had 3 plots going paralell.

Just hate those medical shows. And cop shows. And... well, pretty much anything these days. I seem to be going through that phase where you just give up on TV and watch DVDs instead.
It's been ages since there was anything good to watch - even shows I used to enjoy like Smallville just annoy me now and have become a chore to sit down to watch.
Who knows though - I might track down some of this Jordon thing and check it out (I was hoping it was a show about Katie Price).

Funny, quite the opposite in my case, I never watched TV shows before (well except the Simpsons and the odd Star Trek once or twice) but now I won't miss a Jordan episode every evening...

THough you are right, the TV shows are getting quite bad, especially sci-fi and fantasy. What we have is Star Gate, the latest Star TRek Enterprise (which was really bad) and Farscape, lame all of them. Especially Star Gate had a really low budget, a pity, I liked the movie...

The people who wrote the Stargate movie really hate the TV show (they say as such on their DVD movie commentary). The TV show isn't too bad, but doesn't it seem like they do pretty much the same episode every week?
I quite like Farscape - I watched all the eps and the latest mini-series, but sometimes it was either dumb or confusing. Glad it's over now.
Oh how I hate Enterprise! Apart from a couple of episodes, it has been unmitigated crap. I saw the pilot when it first came out and just instantly turned to my mate a few minutes in and predicted "This is going to kill the franchise" and I was right.
There isn't a single show on TV right now where I'd be too fussed if I missed an episode.

Am I becoming an old fart? :(

Aside from Farscape I find it hard to care about any of them. These days there's Dr. Who, that's really about it for me as far as TV goes...
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Dr Who HAS been enjoyable - even last week's, which I though was going to be a bit dump, but was actually rather good - but I still wouldn't be upset if I missed it.
There's just nothing that has a 'must see' edge. We need something like Red Dwarf - wasn't there talk of a new series if the movie does well?

Well, there was talk of a movie, but I doubt it will ever see the light of day...though if Hitch-Hikers does well it may be up next...

I'm sure that I heard them mention on the last Red Dwarf DVD that the movie was in early production.
What do you think to the new Hitchhikers stuff? I don't like the new robot - he looks too happy. And although clever, Zaphod's head is just wrong.

Lucky for you, sadly we never had that show. Only thing we got from England nowdays are Blackadder, Hallo'Hallo, Faulty Towers and other comedies.
