Robots - worth watching?

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Robots - worth watching?

Post by BB Shockwave » Sun Mar 27, 2005 4:39 pm

I was wondering, if I should bother downloading it.

I liked Ice Age (watched it about 4 times), but as it is often the case, the second movie might not be that good.

Of course it's propably better then Shrek(2)... ;)

So?

From what I've heard it's fantastically put together but just dull.

A film about an entire planet populated my robots, right?

I thought the new TF movie was next year? ;)

Took the kids, and we all liked it. :-)

It's not TF, but, meh, it was good.

I read a bit into the reviews...

Ratchet is the main villain? :D "Prime, I'm a doctor, not DR. NO!"

I was actually pretty pleased with it. I thought it was fun and witty, although the critics are correct in that it is predictable. It's not as good as "The Incredibles" but it's still good and worth watching.

I thought it was crud to be honest.

All the time it was running through my mind 'why employ scottish actor Ewan McGregor to do voice acting...as an american??'

A quote that may be applicable to the upcoming TF movie if they forget about the 'soul' of the characters amid all the flashy transforming CGI wizardry.

Predictable plot but some hilarious jokes, so I loved it. Bearing in mind kids are the primary audience I'm surprised the jokes were as risque as they were, but then, its the sort of stuff kids wouldn't really pick up on. I'd say its a near perfect family movie.

Yeah, it's a family movie, one to take kids to- and it shows. Not that that's a bad thing, it's actually a very nice funny movie, one I enjoyed enough when I went to see it but it's fairly average in all areas- don't expect anything overly special.
