Frank Miller's Martha Washington

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I always thought those comics were VASTLY underrated. I'm just finished re-reading Give Me Liberty.

Has anyone else read them and care to comment?

"Give me Liberty was my introduction to Millar's work beyonfd "Dark night". I still treasure those comics. They are perfetct and well observed. A strong female character who kicks arse without a "girl power" tag line or message, great and accurate social commentary with a great understranding of the faults of society and Miller's unique dialogue.

Utterly fantastic work.

I suspose it doesn't get a higher recomendation these days because it's not "Kwel" as other work Millar has done. It is however his most realistic and well observed.

I've often wondered if I were the only one who had read this series; no one ever talks about it.

Yeah, I love this series; I am especially a fan of the Surgeon General character.
Buffy: Giles, There are two things that I don't believe in: coincidence and leprechauns.
Giles: Well, Buffy, it's entirely possible that they both arrived here by chance simultaneously.
Buffy: Okay, but I was right about the leprechauns, right?
