If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Nice one LN
Be prepared to find out just how painful guitar playing can be-that is until your fingertips become so calloused that you're able pick up hot coals.

Yep, its not as easy as it looks. I've been playing for, I guess, nearly ten years now and I'm still ****.
I think you need to be a) a natural, and/or b) have your heart totally in it.
Nice guitar though - good luck!

It's comforting to know I'm not the only one.
I must admit to being slightly disgusted, when after first picking up a guitar I wasn't a speed-soloing lunatic. I still think I just keep on picking faulty guitars, because in my mind I have what I believe are known as 'skills'.

Bill S. Preston, Esq., Ted Theodore Logan, or David Lister.
Name your cliché.

So, did you start out by learning Stairway to Heaven or Smoke on the Water?
