Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy - movie trailer online

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy - movie trailer online

Only at Amazon.com for the time being.

I have no sound, but it looks nifty. Visually distinct to the the TV series - which is no problem, but may take some time for me to adjust to. Marvin reminds me of the Mousers from TMNT.

Grrr. Argh.

I've read the novels, and heard the radio play more times than could leave a guy sane...

Movies of this scares me, after the tv series...
I'm not gonna complain about it, but the choice to make Ford black is kinda surprising. And somehow the whole thing seems to be played more seriously than intended originally... don't know if thats a good thing or not.

I don't have any sound here either.

It looks like a BBC series: witty, down to earth, but fairly low budget.

I dig it.

Why is Ford arguing with a giant woman in fishnets?

Why is Trillian being carried away by a giant fist?

Why are they all being slapped in the face with flyswatters?

How is Marvin going to stick his new beachball-sized head into a bucket of water?

What's up with Zaphod's second head?
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

All these questions and more, are not to be answered in the next exciting installment of: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy... In that episode, Peter Jones didn't star as the book, Simon Jones was not Arthur Dent...

Now I know what really bugs me, Zaphod doesn't look to be as 'matter of fact' about things as I feel he should be.
He says his lines like "He shares 3 of the same mothers as me" like he's showing off to the monkey, and his "What was that?!?!" line just hurts, because he's suppose to sound in control of things, even when his glasses make him blind.

If you compare the radio play line of Fords "It's green, yes..." with the same line from the tv series, you'll see what I mean about the new Zaphod. :p

The voice-over guy sounds like a complete tosser.

Ford... Zaphod... you're right... not laid-back enough...

Erm, other than that, can only hope that the emphasis on special-effects doesn't come across in the film itself.

A WITCH!!!

Doesnt look too bad, some questionable moments.. but I did like them brandishing thier towels for hand to hand combat, like a bunch of froody guys

and when I say froody I mean the "admireable, cool, completely together" definition, not that "I want to have sex with"

Is this only the first novel that is being covered?

Well, it leaves more room for a sequel if they don't cover all 5 books in the trilogy, doesn't it? ;)

I really need to get around to reading HHG...

I used to read all 5 books once a year. Did that for about 4 years.. then I realized I was carrying a towel with me everywhere (honestly)

it was time to stop lol

Actually, I realized it was time to stop when my first solo composition for music theory was entitled "The Guide"

once again, honestly.. I know Im sad
