Valentines success!!!

Valentines success!!!

Post by Powermaster Optimus Prime » Mon Feb 14, 2005 6:52 am

Ah, that went about 2383259085 times better than expected, and I expected it to go pretty well!

I sent her a big stuffed "Crush" the turtle from Finding Nemo (her favorite character from 'our' movie and her favorite animal), traditional heart shaped chocolate box, a valentines CD, and a picture frame with "coupons" in it for like a nec massage and breakfast in bed and that sort of thing. And she is exxxxtatic.

Stud and Scott begin with the same letter. Coincidence? I think not :p

Congratulations PMOP. Seems like someone played his cards right, and may get an even bigger winning if he continues to do so. :) Happy Valentine's day. It's not such a big thing here in sweden tho.

I just found out Valentine's cards can also backfire in a quite depressing way.

edit: it wasn't quite as depressing as I thought, but still not grand. Everything cool again, fortunately.

Valentines Day sux if you're single. End of story.

But good job PMOP!

Didn't suck for me. But then I ignore those sorts of celebrations, regardless of which emotion is being commercialised.

I would have commemorated the proper meaning of the day, but it was raining, which makes it difficult to have a Christian-bonfire. :(

Instead I stayed home, did some cleaning, watched some TV and went to bed early.

It probably helps that I frequently don't know what day it is, let alone the date, so I don't tend to dwell on things like that. More a case of "Valentine's day? Is it? Hrm. Yeah, suppose it is. Back to what I was doing, then."
Grrr. Argh.

I went out and saw a gig (Soulwax/LCD Sound System) with a friend, then got dragged out clubbing with the missus and her girl friends and then spent all night having hot monkey sex.

I'm exhausted and I can barely see.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Why with monkeys when you had 2 girls to hand?

Anyway, I bought my girlfriend roses, champagne, chocolates and a Chinese takeout.

She bought me... er, a slice of cheesecake.

No matter, I just go through the motions on Valentines day, I'm not romantic in the slightest.

Mmm... as Jack Dee put it... "On Valentine's Day, sending anonymous cards and gifts is considered romantic. The rest of the year it's called stalking."

Ah well, glad things have settled. Glad some people had fun with monkeys and turtles, too. :)

Turtles?? Really?

Well, after the flowers, chocolate, gifts, card, hour wait for dinner at the Lob....it was a fairly good celebration of a holiday that I don't understand the need for......

We have this annual ceremony in our family, where I plant the kids with flowers of five different types and send them out to give to mommy, but this year I had a stash of chocolate I'd been hoarding from several warehouse sales. And lord, did we binge.

I took my boyfriend to Paris :)

Both his birthday and valentine's day were conveniently located around the weekend.

It was good :) Cold and rainy, but then there is always the wine. And the Louvre museum.
