Ok Americans, its the biggest day of the year!
Thats right, SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!
I'll be back after the game with a report. My moneys on the Patriots.
And lets all hope to god that Paul McCartney doesn't suffer a 'wardrobe malfunction.'

son of a bitch..
You know, I like Donovan McNaab, but that had to be the WORST game Ive seen him play in a LONG time.
On the flip side, if they give Tom Brady MVP again I am going to kick small furry animals because he also had a ****** game, now Deion Branch, he made some serious plays.
Brusci, Harrison, or Branch needs to be MVP.
I am happy for Corey Dillon though. I am just tired of the 'Dynasty' tag being attached to them.

The game was pretty good. Close all the way up to the end, and rather exciting, despite some bad judgment on both teams.
Patriots: 24
Eagles: 21
Surprisingly, the commercials this year sucked, with none that were really all that funny. On the other hand, the half-time show was surprisingly good, unlike last years which was garbage even before Janet showed off her boob.
And the tri-tip we had was excelent.

Dear City of Philadelphia,
It pleases me to anounce that since your fans are A-holes, the sports world will continue to get your hopes up year in and year out, only to end in disappointment. Who knows, maybe if you stop being jackasses, the sports gods will swing things in your favor someday, although it is doubtful. Better luck in the future, even though it won't help you any.
Sincerely,
Philly Hata
PS - Where's Freddy's belt? Oh wait that was a championship belt wasnt it.....

Well at, what, $3 million a second?, you expect them to put out something good.Best First wrote:And that ladies and gentlemen is the sound of culture farting and dying.
The half-time show wasn't bad, I kinda like Paul McCartney. But I like it a whole lot better when they have a bunch of artists performing at once. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think the Super Bowl should be a one-artist showcase.
Have I mentioned that I don't like the Patriots? I was expecting Philly to get crushed from the start, so I'm happy that they at least held their own. And since I don't know much about football, you can take that comment as you like.

Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

That's t.v. in the US for you. Where commercials provide a better source of entertainment than the majority of the shows they interrupt.
Is this not the standard elsewhere?[/genuine question out of curiosity]

Only during the Super Bowl besties. I know you dont live here, so let me explain. The only time anybody williningly watched commercials is during the superbowl, and its a bit of an American tradition to pump out the very best, most entertaining commercials they possibly can for the occasion.Best First wrote:that fact that you percieev them as a potential source of entertainment?Master_Fwiffo wrote:The fact that I commented on the commercials? This is the only time anybody ever comments on Commercials. Pay it no mind.
