These two popular, charasmatic and well 'ard characters have never come to blows before. But if they did, who'd win?

Like OPR said, depends which Grimlock. Over the run of the comic up to G2 Grimlock developed greatly, both in strength and durability (mainly through the nucleon effect) but more critically in wisdom, guile and good judgement. Prime didn't pick Grimlock as his successor because he was a chump, Grimlock still needs some work but has tons of potential.
So G1 Grimlock gets whomped but its a decent fight
Nucleon Grimlock fights DH to a draw.
G2 Grimlock wins by a slim margin.
And IMHO that fight between Galvy and DH wasn't as close as it looked. There are a good few TFs who can put Galvy down. But that's the easy part, it's getting him to stay down that's nearly impossible. Had the time machine not warped DH back to the future there would have been bits of him strewn everywhere in a few more moments. He held his own for a good while and that puts him in elevated company, but no way he wins that fight. Besides is Galvy's neural cluster likely to be any less armoured than the rest of him?

Yeah i agree. for instance i think my own large frame and 15 stone weight is probably enough to knock the WWE wrestler the Undertaker over. how long i survive after that is another matter.... *snap*Blacksword wrote: And IMHO that fight between Galvy and DH wasn't as close as it looked. bearing in mind Furman loves DH more than anything else (including The Engine, and THAT is saying something!)Best First wrote:interestingly both comments that can be applied to Dylan...Dylan wrote:Come on! Death's Head is a midget! He's not even a real character!

that's why i relish bringing up DH being turned into DH2 at Transforce, it's worth it just to see Simon's expression sour!

Odds are that Death's Head wouldn't fight Grimlock unless he was hired to do so. In that case, DH would study his quarry, and learn his strengths and weaknesses and exploit them to the fullest to get the job done.
Hands down it would be Death's Head that would win.
If you think Furman loves Grimlock so much that he wouldn't kill him, you'd better read "Alignment" and "Reaching the Omega Point".
I got to talk to him about DH2, and he wasn't happy about what they did to DH, which is why he wrote the "What If..." issue, showing how he would have handled it. That's the reality I hold as Death's Head canon.
Need more proof that DH would win?
Shockwave mopped the floor with ALL of the Dinobots, and Death's Head killed Shocky like he was nothing.
The only way Grimlock would survive is if he offered to pay DH more to kill whomever put the hit out on Grim to begin with.
In that case, Blaster would probably die. heh

Heh... "Of course". How typical Grimlock. I read that page some time ago.
But all in all, consider that Simon never killed GRimlock in an official comic so far (only Budiansky did). Of course given the hints he dropped, I guess this will happen in TWW Vol.3....
On the other hand, poor DH was killed more often then it's healthy, yes?

Under Furman's writing, I can't think of many occurances?BB Shockwave wrote:Heh... "Of course". How typical Grimlock. I read that page some time ago.

He was sent offline by Dragon's Claw, but that's about it AFAIK (and I did own/read them all).

yeah, afaik the only time DH was actually killed was by Minion... and that was written by Dan Abnett (wasn't it? i hope i'm right about that, otherwise i've been disliking the wrong dude for too many years).
Mind you, it wasn't the killing that riled me (that much) it was the complete raping of the character for DHII. I mean, they'd have been better off completely not using DH at all and just have Minion have become sentient on his own.... but anyway...

yeah it was a ridiculous use of DH- essentially they only had him in it at all because they wanted to use his name for a different character. ******* stupid.Legion wrote:yeah, afaik the only time DH was actually killed was by Minion... and that was written by Dan Abnett (wasn't it? i hope i'm right about that, otherwise i've been disliking the wrong dude for too many years).

essentially his sole purpose in being in that dumbass comic was so they could rename 'minion' to 'Death's Head'.
