Where's good to go out on a Friday and Saturday night in Chicago then?
eh?
Dancing and drinking and the occassional bit of snogging would be ideal.

You have my condolences.Best First wrote: Yeah - got training at a place called St Charles [/size]
As for Chicago eating/drinking my two favorite drinking establishments are the Yardhouse in Glenview, which is about 30 mins outside of downtown, or The Ram, which is fairly close to O'Hare airport and in Des Plaines.
For eating, well there's tons of places. Lou Malnatis, and Pizzeria Uno cook the best pizza period.
Potbelly's offers fantastic sandwiches, and there's one fairly near the downtown train station as well as spread out throughout the area.
As for dancing, I know nothing as I never was much of a person to go to clubs.

I went to Chicago once. For a wedding. It was cold and windy. Kind of like a strong eskimo fart. Go figure. Stopped somewhere for pizza. Can't remember where, but I'd go back up north just to have another slice. Good ****.

While in Chicago, I'd suggest checking out:
Bacci Pizzaria. There's a bunch of these in Chicago, they give you a slice of pizza twice the size of your head for about 3 bucks USD.
If you're into Chinese, check out the smaller Seven Happiness in Chinatown, best chinese food you'll eat without actually going to China.
The Admiral Theater is a fairly upscale nude bar.
If you'd like to fuel your TF habbit, you might want to check out "Quake Collectables." They've got lots o' Transformers for prices that are more than fair. G1-RiD.
It's also home to the guy who runs seibertron as well as within easy driving distance of yours truly. So, if you're looking to throw a brick through the guys window then hide somewhere he wouldn't suspect, there's an option for ya.
I live about 50 minutes outside of chicago in a nice college town called DeKalb, so if you're into the bar scene, come visit The Smooth One. College girls and inexpensive booze, how can you go wrong?

I don't even want to think about trying to pass one of those. A time limit to the process with a nasty bang of an ending if you don't beat the clock.Ozz wrote:Explosive stones?Computron wrote:Two birds with one stone...

Oh well... the owner of JP Gift is always suspicious of every customer that came in, usually sends in one of his clerks to harass people, I was once trying to window shop since I didn't buy anything, owner says "I am going to lunch come back in an hour."Professor Smooth wrote:Mitsuwa's still open, but the toystore (JP Gift) has moved down the street to a different location.Gekigengar wrote:Buy more TF's at Mitsuwa, if it is still open...

I am glad he did move, gave Mitsuwa a bad name for customer relations.

Uh, depends to be perfectly honest. Just last week we had a heat wave. 50 degree weather, and yet today it looks to be 30 degrees and below.Best First wrote:oh by the way - whats the weather like? bit chilly i hear?
Don't be surprised to see a ton of snow when you arrive and have it melt by the next day...
In short bring a jacket.
