Energon Powerlinx Classes

Just wondering, really. HasTak was aiming for a common gimmick with the Energon Autobots but somehow wound up with four - technically three since the Deluxes and Megas can interchange, so which one do you like the best?

I had this idea one time after sitting on the toilet for a bit - Energon Optimus' combining ability has even more applications than the other Powerlinx types. What if:

Optimus had four Regular bots with their own vehicle and robot modes, while also becoming limbs, and even had a car carrier trailer to cart them around in? Might work for an Ultra Magnus repaint.

Or four oversized Energon weapons that Optimus could weild one at a time, like two huge guns and two bladed thingys, which all have limb forms. Throw in a weapons rack trailer and you have a possible Scourge repaint.

Or some massive vehicle, like a sub, a bomber or a tank, that not only forms new limbs, but also combine with Optimus for a 'juggernaut' vehicle mode.

Other possibilities for Powerlinx Red (Landmine/Bulkhead):

Brute mode weapons also form a mini-vehicle for the robot, like a skateboard or jetski.

Brute mode weapons could also change the robot's altmode into a different type of vehicle, maybe from ground vehicle to aircraft, making it a sort of triple changer.

Finally, one possibility for the Megas (Powerlinx Gold) - maybe a robot could have its Powerlink port exposed in vehicle mode, forming a robot with a wheeled lower body. Or even a centaur mode.

I haven't liked much of Energon at all, so far. My vote would be for compact and functional [if] the cars actually looked semi-realistic, and not like a fourth grader sketched them.
