Shaun of the Dead!

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

'Ave done!

I could screen cap the bits where EmVee and Death's Head are in it and post 'em on here, if I knew where to freeze frame. ;)

Saw it, saw it again, saw it a third time and then bought the DVD, mate :)
Which reminds me, I still haven't finished watching all the extras....

Good to know it's finally out in over there though, and that at least one person likes it!

I think the reason it works so well is that, for the most part, it's not actually a zombie movie.

The zombies are just there as a plot device. So it's great in its own right as an actual story, but then it's also great as a zombie movie.

Dualitilicious!
Grrr. Argh.

I've watched it with the intention of looking for it but I get carried away with the film.

wow, im not trying to start a flame war or anything- but that was one of the worst movies I have seen in a while. Maybe there is some inside british humor or something im missing, but I really didn't find it funny.

Oh well, too each his own I guess

Hmm. I found it pretty funny.

I guess asa brit it might seem funnier as the situations were more british. and i seemed to be able to relate to them easier. also i knew the actors from other brit comedys and that stye of humor has always made me laugh.

I dunno, check www.rottentomatoes.com or www.imdb.com. Both predominantly American sites. Both rate the film very highly - significant with rotten tomatoes, as the site merely links to other reviews and then averages the score, totalling it at 90+%.

I love it, I was just checking to see that Americans loved it as well, to see if they were insane or not. :p

Hey, come on, you voted for Bush didn't you!

I've yet to meet someone who didn't love SOTD. Great movie - And if any of you haven't seen Spaced, go grab the DVDs. It's wicked too.

Oh yeah - and Big Al is one of my mates from up here in Glasgow. :D

Is "Spaced" available on region 1 dvd yet?
Buffy: Giles, There are two things that I don't believe in: coincidence and leprechauns.
Giles: Well, Buffy, it's entirely possible that they both arrived here by chance simultaneously.
Buffy: Okay, but I was right about the leprechauns, right?

The other great extra is "The Man Who Would Be Shaun", with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost doing a scene as Michael Caine and Sean Connery.

I wouldn`t have minded seeing them do the whole film like that. Too funny.

Just watched it, OMG its hillarious. This makes up for my crappy feeling sorry for myself.

Also good:
Jessy talked to her dad for the first time in 15 years. He played with our kids for the first time. I still will have words with this man, but at least he is making a step in the right direction. Shes telling me all of this right now and crying on the phone because she doesnt believe that it really happened. :)
