Never seen 'em before, but if I were a kid, I'd collect them all! Great toys!

Xevoz Wave 2

Post by Aaron Hong » Sat Aug 28, 2004 12:09 pm

Ever heard of Stikfas? Xevoz basically employ the same ball-jointing and modular interchanging system, but are bigger, tougher and more detailed. They even form the basis of a HeroClix-esque tabletop game where the weapons they carry have different power levels, and winning parts off other people let you customise your figures further.

According to the storyline, they're divided into six races, all of which can be seen above - NeoSapiens (human), Meta-Beasts (animal), Unnaturals (undead), Biomecha (robot), Hyperfuries (energy) and Sectoids (bugs).

And just to stress out the dialup kids, here's more pics from the official site:

Image Image
Shock Berserker (HyperFury) and Dune Stinger (Sectoid)
Image Image
Sky Grinder (NeoSapien) and a two-pack with Hemo Goblin (Unnatural) and Moon Stalker (MetaBeast)
ImageImage
Two-pack with Street Punk (NeoSapien) and Transcorcher (BioMecha). Transcorcher changes from the vehicle on the left to the robot on the right.

I have seen those before, not in stores but I ran into something about them on the net, seemed like a good kids toy. I dunno if I would be to interested in purchasing them, but I will vote there cool cause they seem like fun!

They are clogging the shelves here. Right next to the Zoids and Gobots. I think I may actually start buying my boys them to get them into TF's early ;)

Some more information, and a few surprises, can be found here:
http://www.millionaireplayboy.com/toys/xevoz.php

And more from the Xevoz catalog:

Image Image
Gun Slinger (NeoSapien) and Storm Wing (MetaBeast)
Image Image
Omega Guard (NeoSapien) and Grim Skull (Unnatural). Yes, they're repaints.
ImageImage
Iron Spectre (Unnatural) comes with the official carry case cum play mat, the Battle Attack Transporter.

NeoSapiens? Weren't they some kind of genetically-enhanced superhuman species that was at war with humans in some cartoon in the early '90s?

That would be Exo Squad. Probably lost the copyright or something.

Here's an explanation of the tabletop game rules, and I'm having visions of Monty Python and the Holy Grail from it...

One more slew of pics and I'm done.

Image Image
Crypt Curse (Unnatural) and Shield Breaker (NeoSapien)

Image Image
Tomb Wraith (Unnatural) and anothet two-pack with Cryo Katana (HyperFury) and Preda Crawler (BioMecha)

In the works apparently are two more races, the Reptosaurs (dinos!) and Runics (I dunno - rock types? God types?)
