I'm not enjoying Lost Light

Okay, so started reading the latest Lost Light issue and, for the first time with a Roberts issue, put it down after the five five pages. Couldn't take it anymore. Lovey dovey conjunx endura stuff is killing me. "You'll get through med school! I'm here for you!" GAG.
Anyone want to give a two sentence issue synopsis with these characters I don't care two shits about?

"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

I thought it was just me that wasn't enjoying LL - glad to see that it's not.
It just seems slow and uninteresting to me, too many characters I just don't care about maybe.
Or maybe I've not forgiven them for Ravage yet...

It does feel like its crawling along a bit. The art is a big turnoff, its too cartoony when Jack Lawrence does it, and this other person just seems to sketch by. I miss Milne on this book so much. The mysteries keep me going, I was walking along today and it popped into my head about the Slaughterhouse storyline; how did the DJD know to rip Minimus Ambus from the Magnus armour on the alt-Lost Light?
Magnus and Tarn are music fans. Both like the Empyrean suite, there may be a link with Tyrest or The New Institute. I take it all these little mysteries are eventually going to come out?

When are they gonna get to the fireworks factory!?!
The search for the Knights of Cybertron has now stretched for (including specials) something like 65 issues. Taking into account the few month gap between MTMTE and LL, that's nearly the ENTIRE length of the Marvel US G1 Marvel comic. And, for the most part, it has been a fun and interesting ride. The series has given us excellent new characters like Pharma and Tarn. It has introduced Japanese exclusive characters by the boatload. Star Saber, Dai Atlas, Overlord, Dezauras (and basically the entire Victory Destron cast). But over the last year, the story has slowed to a crawl. I get that they wanted to introduce some new characters, shuffle up the cast, and let new readers get on board (so to speak). 8 issues is waaaaaaay too long for a set-up. Especially when MTMTE has created such a passionate fanbase who just want the story to continue.
The end of the most recent issue, though, was a pretty awesome moment.

Is that Flame at the end of issue #8?

Re: I'm not enjoying Lost Light
So after a bit of a hiatus, I think the past two issues have got us back on track, at least a bit.
We now have a plausible villain who's been behind load of stuff seeded throughout the series, which leads into a really dark ending with plenty of fridge horror.
Also, Flame. Who doesn't love a good Flame cameo?

I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I enjoyed it. I'm glad they didn't bring Skids back, although I do wonder with his brain laying about whether there is still potential...

Agree the last few issues felt like a bit of a course correction (art aside). Some glimmer of old form.
And Milne will be back for a few issues apparently (altho sadly not permenantly).
I think the return to the LL will be telling in terms of whether the book is getting back to past glories.
Also i appear to be able to post from work again...
