Cloverfield

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I thought it was fun, though in no way groundbreaking. I guessed the ending (the bit with the old footage) but liked that.

Had a few nice surprises, as well as realism in a fantastical situation.

Personally I always think getting a good look at the monster kinda spoils these things - I would have preferred to have been kept wondering.

Was the Cloverfield monster the tallest giant monster? Well, no...

I thoroughly enjoyed it too. Possibly the best giant monster movie I've seen, mainly because it doesn't actually focus any on the giant ( and fairly personality-devoid) creature, but on the humans affected by its rampage.

And damn... Kroll must be gigantic! 0_0 He could perhaps be almost 500 meters tall! And if you count the length of the arms as part of the height, he'd probably be more like 900..!
