Well, it wasn't for any holiday, but I bought via Ebay a $360 45cm Godzilla figure made by some guy in Japan.

Haven't received it yet, and only time will tell how long it takes before guilt sets in and I think about who I could have fed with that much money.

I've spent the past two days mulling over exactly this sort of thing, what I did, what I should have done...but in the absence of hoary old sci-fi cliches like time travel or alternate universes, we just have to admit that what's done is done, and live with it. Of course, I'm completely alone in a country where I don't speak the language, so I have a lot of time for this kind of introspection...
