Imagine what it must be like when your brain is regularly popping up with messages telling you that the password to your left leg has expired, or that your right index finger hasn't been properly configured as a shared folder.
"Combaticons - unite!"
"Wait!"
"... what?"
"Wait a second."
"Why?"
"Just trying to configure the settings..."
"Huh?"
"We've been operating as standalones... just need to restore everything."
"Okay. Done?"
"Not yet."
"... what's the delay?"
"This doesn't do itself, you know."
"... well how long?"
"It'll take as long as it takes."
"Well we're under attack."
"The more questions you ask, the longer it'll take."
Onslaught would make a great sysadmin.
Grrr. Argh.

The gestalts working on a BNC token-ring network with some ungodly version of OS/2 would explain rather a lot...Brendocon wrote:... seems pretty consistent with my experience of LANs...Best First wrote:i just love the idea that when you hook 6 computers up it makes them dafter...

"Abominus! What's wrong?"
"I can't move my arm"
"Why not"
"The password's expired"
"Well can't you reset it?"
"Not without the old one"
"What?"
"I can't remember it - it was set to autocomplete"
"Well haven't you got it written down somewhere?"
"I don't remember - I was sure I configured it not to expire, so that I wouldn't need to..."
It makes sense that Computron's the smartest, being made of techies...

The old Marvel Universe stuff mentioned some internal control system for Gestalts. Specificly, it mentions that Snaptrap sets a timer for Piranacon to disengage after a set time, otherwise he'd keep on huntin' forever. This begs the question, just how much separate conciousness do the members have when united? War And Peace's Menasor seemed to argue among itself, and in perchance to Dream - Silverbolt the separate Aerialbots seemed to be able to think individually.
About Blot - he should be the new mascot of Transfans.
Off topic I know, but for a long-long time, for some weird reason, I thought he was the leader and central (forming Abominus' torso) member of the Terrorcons (mainly as I didn't have any clear pics of Hun-Grr in the Marvel comics). I even fashioned a fanfic set in the cartoon universe where the Terrorcons have pre-dated the Decepticons and were considered 'boogeymen' by the TFs, Starscream (after his resurrection) finds them banished and takes them to Galvy to get back into his good graces but Blot betrays everyone and it takes a resurrected OP to set things right. I always imagined his acid gun was really powerful.

"I've come to believe you are working for the enemy, Vervain. There is no other explanation... for your idiocy." (General Woundwort)
