I might be utterly wrong but does anyone else get the feeling that the trailler conveys a sense of being, that the Transformers are the backdrop to a human story?

I can understand this from a hollywood standpoint, the audience will relate to humans easier but at the same time I would feel a bit cheated (ok, very cheated) if this is the case.

Still, it will be nice to see a 'real' transforming robot I guess, even if the designs dont look like the transformers we know.

Like someone else pointed out, the moment I hear Optimus speak with cullens voice, I think the fanboy in me will light up!

There is an interview with DeSanto in this months Empire mag, in which he says basically they couldn't have the Transformers as the focal point of the film because of millions of $$ involved in doing so.

One a side note about Peter Cullen, and to add to my doom-and-gloom, I heard his voice on the tail of the trailer... it just doesn't sound like him. I know it is, and I dearly love Peter Cullen- he will always be Prime to me- but it just didn't sound right

Am I missing something? Where is Cullens voice in the trailer? I can't hear it!

Edit: Just noticed the release date has slipped to the 24th July. Anyone know why they moved it? Was there already some hot competition for the 4th?

The official version on the TFMovie website has Peter Cullen towards the end saying "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings".

unless I remember wrong, Megs speaks in Cybertronian in each of his sentences! Not much sense in having Welker say that, although he definitly could...
